Lydia premieres new video “Sunlight” via Billboard
Love Works In Strange Ways In Colorful, Surreal Video for “Sunlight”: Watch Now Exclusively via Billboard
“…a slightly unsettling Wes Anderson-style pastiche…in contrast to the track’s cheerful melodic countenance.” – Billboard
With six albums and multiple tours under their belt, the desert dwellers of Lydia are making a big jump with Liquor, coming July 13 via Sony imprint Weekday Records. Today, the band releases the album’s first visual via Billboard. Building off of the previously released “Goodside,” “Sunlight” promises fans and new listeners expansive, experimental versions of their catchy blend of emo-tinged indie folk.
As the album’s first visual, the music video for “Sunlight” places lead singer Leighton Antelman in the center of a warm and quirky world. Antelman narrates a heartwarming romance as it unfolds in front of it like a surrealist painting. Comforting and strange at the same time, the video recalls the highs of precious rom-coms like a lovechild of 500 Days of Summer and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
In anticipation of their seventh release, the Arizona indie-rockers announced a massive US-wide tour this summer in support of their first release with Weekday Records. The band will be joined by labelmates Cherry Pools as well as fellow Arizonans Jared & the Mill for what’s sure to be an all-in event, every single night. Tickets are on sale now, including VIP packages.
